Wellington Beefs up Financial Transparency with its Open Wellington Website
Wellington first launched Open Wellington in February 2010 to provide open access to financial information and public records, including financial, law enforcement and fire rescue reports. In June 2010, Wellington introduced Phase 2, allowing residents to download financial information in various file formats such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Abode PDF files. Following the launch of Open Wellington, the National Bureau of Business Licensing Officials awarded Wellington the Gold Standard Certificate for Leadership in Government Transparency. The website’s Document Management also provides all of Wellington’s meeting agendas, as-builts, minutes, ordinances, recorded plats and resolutions.
Wellington staff is currently in the process of scanning and updating the financial documents and invites you to browse through Open Wellington!
