Wellington Holiday Closures

Wellington will observe the following closures during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays: 

  • City Hall and the Safe Neighborhoods Office will be closed on Monday, December 26, 2011 and Monday, January 2, 2012.
  • The Wellington Homeownership Center will be closed beginning Wednesday, December 14, 2011 and will reopen on Monday, January 2, 2012.
  • The Village Park Gym will close at noon on Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, 2011 and will reopen on Tuesday, December 27, 2011. The gym will also be closed on New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1, 2012 and Monday, January 2, 2012.
  • The Wellington Community Center and Village Park will be closed on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, 2011 and New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 1, 2012.
  • All other parks, including Scott’s Place, Tiger Shark Cove playground and the Wellington Environmental Preserve will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, 2011 through the day after New Year’s Day, Monday, January 2, 2012. They will also be open during regular hours Tuesday, December 27, 2011 through Friday, December 30, 2011.
There will be no change to the garbage, recycling and vegetative waste pick-up schedule.
