2012Coach Competes to Bring MLB Legends to Wellington
Fans can watch videos of the four finalists and vote for Marc to host the PepsiMAX Field of Dreams Team at mlb.com/pepsimax. The winner will play a game against the legendary team in their local community surrounded by family, friends and baseball enthusiasts. Fans can vote up to 50 times per day through October 5th, and the winner will be announced by November 1st.
The PepsiMAX MLB Field of Dreams Team roster is comprised of:
Starting Pitcher – Randy Johnson
Catcher – Johnny Bench
Short Stop – Cal Ripken, Jr.
First Baseman – Frank Thomas
Second Baseman – Rod Carew
Third Baseman – Mike Schmidt
Relief Pitcher – Dennis Eckersley
Designated Hitter – Edgar Martinez
Outfielders – Ken Griffey, Jr., Tony Gwynn and Reggie Jackson
From July 12th through August 31st, baseball fans across the country logged on to MLB.com/PepsiMAX to cast 2.5 million votes for their favorite players in each of 9 positions. For each ballot cast, fans were entered to win the chance to take on the winning PepsiMAX Field of Dreams Team next spring. Each of the four finalists was selected in a random drawing – one drawing for each of the geographic regions (north/south/east/west).
