2012New Year's Celebration At Amphitheater
Local country singer Rick Nelson will emcee this family-friendly event. Other entertainment includes the following:
- Free cotton candy for the first 500 guests
- Fireworks at midnight
- Musical performances by Odyssey Road a Tribute to Journey, Buck Deal and Wellington's hometown teen sensations Lexi Luca, Shay Marie, Taylor Renee and Meghan Ritmiller
- Bounce houses, balloons and face painting
- Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Dora characters
- Magic show
- Classic car show
- Vendors and crafts
Our First Night celebration coincides with Wellington's 15th anniversary as a municipality. The City of Wellington was incorporated on December 31, 1995 with official operations commencing on March 28, 1996.
