27th Annual Holiday Parade
This year's parade will feature a steel column from the World Trade Center site in New York. The artifact will be the centerpiece of Wellington's Patriot Memorial Park, planned for construction next year. The column is expected to arrive just one week before the parade. We are proud that it will be part of this special community holiday celebration.
The parade route begins at Wellington Trace and continues down Forest Hill Boulevard, ending at the New Town Center and Amphitheater. In order to provide a safe procession for the parade, Forest Hill Boulevard will be closed from the intersection (north) at Wellington Trace to South Shore Boulevard between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Signs have been placed at each subdivision entryway and variable message boards have been placed at each end of Forest Hill Boulevard to provide advanced notice to residents and visitors of the event and associated road closure. In addition to signage, a Code Red call will be placed to all affected residents on Thursday, December 9th.
