2012PATRIOT MEMORIAL STEEL SELECTED
Port Authority members recently met with Wellington staff and council in New Jersey to select the artifact. The beam will be mounted at the Patriot Memorial and be on display for viewing by next year. The Patriot Memorial honors not only the victims of 9/11, but all public safety professionals who selflessly serve throughout our community and country every day.
The design of the memorial incorporates an eternal flame, pergolas, benches, cypress trees, flag poles, and walkways with the names of those who lost their lives. The memorial is funded by a private/public partnership through the Wellington Community Foundation, a non-profit 501© 3.
