December 15, 2009

Wellington is partnering with the Citizens Volunteer Organization, Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue, local businesses, The Boys and Girls Club and Representative Abruzzo’s Office for a Hometown Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the less fortunate youth in our community.

Residents are asked to drop off their new, unwrapped toys by December 21st to any of the following locations:

Wellington Community Center
12165 West Forest Hill Boulevard

Safe Neighborhoods Office
1100 Wellington Trace

Administration Office
14000 Greenbriar Boulevard

Planning, Zoning and Building
12794 West Forest Hill Boulevard

Parks and Recreation
11700 Pierson Road

In addition, if you have a used toy that is in good condition, those are also being accepted as part of Wellington’s “Gift From Your Heart” program.

“The holidays are about giving and helping those in need”, said Ivy M. Fivey, Community Programs Director. “This is an excellent opportunity for our residents to come together as we work towards spreading smiles across the faces of children throughout our community this Holiday Season.”

Please continue to help us help those in need and join us in this very special effort.
