Education Committee
Mission
The Education Committee shall monitor and develop actions which may impact Wellington
schools; gather input on issues that may affect the children
in Wellington schools, plan a strategy to eliminate portables,
study and project new school requirements, establish
relationships with the PBC School Board to effectively lobby
for Wellington’s children, develop recommendations for
forwarding to elected officials, coordinate with the Parks &
Recreation Department to address cooperative use of parks &
recreation facilities, coordinate with local businesses to
offer technical and vocational training.
